Courtney C. Johnson is a PhD student in German Literature and Culture who plans to add a designated emphasis in film after her second year. Courtney received her MA in German Studies from The University of Arizona in 2010 and two BA degrees, one in Journalism and one in German Studies, from The University of Arizona in 2008. Courtney spent one summer studying at Universität Leipzig in Leipzig, Germany. She also holds dual-citizenship in the U.S. and Germany, which allows her to spend time abroad for non-academic purposes.
Courtney's main research interests are film and visual culture, but she is also interested in Medieval literature and art, German-Jewish literature and history, literary theory and contemporary German literature and culture. |
