The Library's Media Resources Center (located on the basement floor of Moffitt Library) is one of the largest collection of videos in a US academic library. The collection includes over 20 thousand videos, over 1000 DVDs, and over 3000 spoken word audio tapes. Holdings comprise over 500 German language films, including feature films, literary and dramatic adaptions, and documentary works. The feature collection includes over 50 DDR films from the DEFA studios in the period 1950-1980.

The Center maintains an extensive web site that includes listings and descriptions of MRC holdings:

The MRC web site also contains extensive bibliographies of books and journal articles related to German film.
